Eric Nation

Eric Nation is a third generation native of California, and was born and raised in the small town of Chula Vista.  Growing up, he was surrounded and inspired by the work of my grandfather, Howard Little, an early California landscape painter.  Eric has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Design as well as a graduate degree in Furniture Design. He has taught furniture design at Mesa College in San Diego and the California College of Art in San Francisco.
Eric Nation’s furniture and sculpture is highly influenced by architectural imagery, materials and process.  His recent work increasingly incorporates narrative aspects that speak to an increasingly unsettled view of the built environment.  Eric continues to work as an architectural designer, focusing on small residential projects.  His most recent project is the design and construction of WORKSHOP+GALLERY.
His work can be found in collections across the United States, Canada and New Zealand.  He currently lives in Maine.
